Our MissionThe mission of the music
program at the primary and elementary levels is to provide all students
with an opportunity to maximize their individual potential in music skills
and knowledge through a wide variety of kinesthetic, aural, and visual
mediums within the music discipline while continually demonstrating
exemplary character qualities through character education.
Teacher ProfileMr.
Ken Beere is the music educator designated to the responsibilities of the
primary and elementary music program. His credentials include a B.M. in
M.E. from Westminster Choir College of Rider University, over tens years of
private voice, piano, and guitar instruction, five years of public school music
education in grades kindergarten through twelfth grade, twelve years of
performance experience at various levels and venues, and is a singer/songwriter
with a solo album released in 2007. Mr.
Beere is a member of various music affiliations including but not limited to the
following: MENC, NAMM, Support Music, NJEA, NEA, NJMEA, iTunes, Napster,
Rhapsody, Sony, Tunecore, Snocap, SNJCDA, and various others From
the public school classroom to the private lessons through the community
education program, Mr. Beere has provided various music instructional
opportunities. Here is a quote from the interim superintendent from 2007
regarding the chorus program; "It was a pleasure to have you present
the chorus at the board meeting; it really showed how important your group is to
us all." The rest of the music department includes Mr. Megules from the middle school and Mrs. Wunch at the high school.
